Recently, Leonard Trial Lawyers attained a major win for a Senior at one of the most prestigious midwestern universities. The student faced potential disciplinary sanctions, up to and including expulsion, based upon what we believed to be completely baseless allegations – which were premised almost entirely on hearsay statements and speculation. The student also faced removal from one of the school’s athletic teams.
We were able to work with the student at each stage of the proceeding. This included input on identifying witnesses favorable to the student; assisting the student in the preparation of the opening and closing statements for the student’s appearance before the Committee; and preparing the student for the questions that would be posed by the Committee members.
After more than six months, the University found completely in favor of the student and accordingly imposed no disciplinary sanctions. The close working relationship between the student and Leonard Trial Lawyers was crucial to this result.
